I am a graduate of Angelo State University with a bachelor's in child development, concentrating on early childhood (ages 2-9). I am currently a graduate student at A.S.U. and I am working on earning my master's degree in education. I am certified to teach grades Pre-K through 8th, but I really enjoy the elementary grades.
I do not have any children, but I have a dog who thinks she is a child! I like to take her out to walk, run, swim, and run obstacle courses. I also enter her in the occasional costume contest (more fun for me than her!) I am an avid reader. I love to read children's literature, educational research and periodicals, and anything that has words! I like to connect with people and places, via the internet, to broaden my horizons and keep me globally aware. I am also fairly crafty and enjoy scrapbooking, sewing, drawing, decorating and anything art-related.
I hope to integrate my love of discovery, literacy, and technology into the classroom this year. My goal is for every student to know they can achieve their personal goals and can make progress. I want to create a classroom family, that can discuss, explore, and learn together, and will excell in content mastery.
